1. I'm looking forward to driving lessons this year. 2. Hopefully I don't crash into anything and cause significant bodily harm. 3. Also, did anyone else get accosted by Moaning Myrtle today? I was very tempted to walk through her.
[PRIVATE TO WAQ]
Well, thank Merlin she's gone, right?

1. I still can't figure out how those bloody photos ended up on the internet. 2. How do you even take a magical image and put it onto a Muggle computer without frying the computer? I always thought magic made electricity redundant -- literally. 3. I wish I had time to experiment when I was at home but apparently fiddling with my cousin's computer is, "called being anti-social, Samuel. Come on and have another mince pie!"

1. Just got a text from Dad saying there's an 6 am start on Monday morning. 2. So much for a break. 3. I don't even know how I'm going to do any of my Christmas shopping if I'm working practically the whole way through the holidays.

1. The Potions Club seems interesting. 2. I just found out I'm expected to work over the holidays because Dad's struggling to find people who can make hot drinks to his impossible standards. I already told him that if he was less of a perfectionist about coffee, then maybe he could find a barista to cover shifts who would last. So if you're around Diagon Alley, you should come in to Bean Me Up -- I can promise there are no Amortentia Hot Chocolates on the menu. 3. Good luck with the Duelling Tournament tomorrow, those who are participating.
[PRIVATE TO WAQ]
What is going on? I am really confused.
Oh, and Melody: +1000 cool points, as requested.

1. Late doesn't equate my fault we lost. Just so you know. Next time, Ravenclaw. 2. I wish it would snow more, actually. I'd like enough powder for there to be a decent snowball fight. 3. What's the deal with all the Muggle board games? What happened to Gobstones? Or Exploding Snap? Or better yet, Exploding Poker? Or trading Famous Wizards cards, even. Actually - does anyone have Dumbledore cards they want to give/trade me? I need as many as possible.
[PRIVATE TO WAQ]
Operation Sunglasses was a success. At least from the 2024 end.

Got a minute?

1. There are certain things you don't mess with. 2. Soap being one of them. 3. Because you put it on your body at your most vulnerable moment and anything less than an ordinary, prank-free block of soap can be very traumatising. Just so you all know.

1. I only just managed to finish my essay on time for Transfiguration. That was a bit of a ridiculous assignment -- length-wise, anyway. What the hell, Savage? Are you deliberately trying to piss us off even more? 2. Finally. Quidditch match on Saturday. I feel like it's been a longer wait than usual until we actually got to play in a game. Your support will be greatly appreciated, Ravenclaw. 3. Happy, Sophia?
[PRIVATE TO KNIGHTS, 2024]
So, apparently Louis is wondering if he could get his hands on something personal of Savage's so he can read him. Don't ask, I don't understand. Operation Sunglasses, anyone?

1. Perhaps dressing up as a spaceman doesn't fit the theme of Halloween perfectly. But my mother's had this suit lying about in the attic and finally took out the time to find it. 2. Or maybe Dad took out the time to "help" her find it by doing it for her. Who knows. 3. Well played, Gryffindor. I can't wait am looking forward to putting my new broom to the test in a real match. Lindsay's was so smooth that I can only imagine the thrill of being up there with the adrenaline of the competition fueling you could only something that has to be experienced before I can wrap my head around it.

1. Seriously? It's still raining? 2. I wanted to go out flying this afternoon before dinner. I've never flown a broom like this before. It makes my old broom feel like an old second-hand Nimbus. 3. Aside from the fact that it practically was an old second-hand Nimbus.
[PRIVATE TO WAQ ACTIVES]
So, are we supposed to send thank you cards or something?

1. Flying is really good for helping you clear your head, I think. 2. Ben, if you make me get up before sunrise to practice Quidditch, I will be forced to take action. 3. And tell your girlfriend.

1. The house is really quiet. It's weird. 2. Dad let me off working for at least a couple of weeks. Which means I need to tell him I'm resigning. 3. Does anyone want my job at Bean Me Up Espresso?
[PRIVATE TO SOPHIA]
Hey, are you free today?

1. No sooner spoken than broken am I. What am I? 2. Thanks for the birthday wishes, guys! 3. No thanks to my sister's birthday wishes, though. I wish she'd stop owling. I worry every time I see her handwriting. But at least the chocolates were nice.

I've noticed three odd things today: 1. There appears to be a growing multitude of pink paper airplanes in the common room. Is this flying cancer awareness week? 2. My Potions textbook now reads "Property of Samantha Dunstan." Funny. Old. But funny. 3. I have a letter from my sister.
I always worry when I get a letter from my sister. Is that just me? I bet it's just me.
